Who: Starting in mid-August of this year, FLS Connect worked with Colorado grassroots organizations to unseat Senators Angela Giron and Senate President John Morse. This recall election came as a result of grassroots opposition to recently passed gun-control legislation in Colorado. What We Did: FLS Connect recently participated in a run-off election for the Houston City Council’s At-Large Seat. The goal of our Live/Auto Calls was to use our Early Voting calls to increase the likelihood that supporters would vote for our candidate before Election Day.  Research shows that when reminding voters about your candidate they are more likely to support your candidate, be it at the polls or in early voting. A strong ID program uses multiple avenues to capture data – be it Auto, Live and Voice Variable programs. Knowing this, the best use of ID in 2012 will be to make sure to include a question on each of your ID programs that includes top issues, then take that information and deliver advocacy and get-out-the-vote messages specific to the issue identified.
